Colonial Roofing has partnered with a company specializing in the latest thermal imaging technology. Thermal imaging can provide customers with an infrared image taken from the roof indicating possible moisture intrusion. If moisture intrusion is suspected, an infrared scan will show the difference in temperature if there is moist or saturated insulation. The more the saturation, the bigger the difference in temperature (as shown above).
When determining whether to re-roof or repair, thermal imaging can provide critical information hidden below the roof's surface important to the overall decision process.
Although this process costs money on the front side, it is often an effective cost saving method when isolating and identifying wet and dry insulation in low-slope applications where retro-fit roofing systems are an option for our customers. |
