ROOF TO WALL CONNECTION UPGRADES:

SECURE YOUR ROOF THROUGH THE STORM.
The roof-to-wall connection is a crucial structural component that helps secure your roof to the rest of the building. Proper reinforcement in this area improves wind resistance, reduces the risk of roof uplift, and enhances overall structural integrity. With hurricanes increasing in intensity, upgrading these connections can mean the difference between minor repairs and catastrophic damage.
Florida Building Code Section 706.8 requires improved roof-to-wall connections during roof replacement on structures valued at $300,000 or more in wind-borne debris regions. This applies when the roof deck is made of wood planks, sawn lumber, or structural panels. The required retrofit must follow Section 706.8.1 but is capped at a 15% increase in reroofing costs. (Structures built under current code are exempt.)
