PRE-CONSTRUCTION PROCESS MATTERS
Prior to construction, the Colonial Roofing team conducted detailed pre-construction meetings with the customer to discuss scheduling expectations, operational considerations, project goals, and overall sequencing.
By establishing alignment early, the team was able to create a smooth project workflow from start to finish.
ROOF CONSULTANT RECOMMENDS RETROFIT
Because the project was designed as a retrofit installation at the suggestion of a third party roofing consultant rather than a full tear-off, the team reduced delays, budget increases, and operational interruptions that often occur on commercial roofing projects.
The existing metal roofing systems allowed for a more controlled installation process without the need to open up the building envelope, reducing the risk of demolition-related complications.
The roofing system installed included a FiberTite 36ml membrane with the addition of flute fill insulation providing additional R value.
PROJECT RESULTS
The retrofit approach provided the building owner with a practical long-term roofing solution while minimizing disruption.
The project was completed in approximately one month and was delivered on time, on budget, and without surprises.
